Mood of a Vrajvasi

When we pray for ourselves, God listens, when we pray for others, God acts.
Vrajvasis are always showering their mercy in the form of blessings.
My spiritual mentor describes, “Mercy is always flowing, it’s upto us what vessel we bring to hold that mercy. Some may bring a small glass, some may bring a giant tank.”
As these souls are always engaged in glorifying their Lord, they naturally imbibe some of his merciful qualities.
aho bakī yaṁ stana-kāla-kūṭaṁ
jighāṁsayāpāyayad apy asādhvī
lebhe gatiṁ dhātry-ucitāṁ tato ’nyaṁ
kaṁ vā dayāluṁ śaraṇaṁ vrajema [SB 3.2.23]
This verse describes the depth of mercy of the Lord. When a she-demon [ Pūtanā ] came to kill him, Kṛṣṇa gave her the position of a mother in the spiritual world. Who does such a merciful thing?
What to speak of his beauty,
barhāpīḍaṁ naṭa-vara-vapuḥ karṇayoḥ karṇikāraṁ
bibhrad vāsaḥ kanaka-kapiśaṁ vaijayantīṁ ca mālām
randhrān veṇor adhara-sudhayāpūrayan gopa-vṛndair
vṛndāraṇyaṁ sva-pada-ramaṇaṁ prāviśad gīta-kīrtiḥ [SB 10.21.5]
“Wearing a peacock-feather ornament upon His head, blue karṇikāra flowers on His ears, a yellow garment as brilliant as gold, and the Vaijayantī garland, Lord Kṛṣṇa exhibited His transcendental form as the greatest of dancers as He entered the forest of Vṛndāvana , beautifying it with the marks of His footprints. He filled the holes of His flute with the nectar of His lips, and the cowherd boys sang His glories.”
In Srimad Bhagavatam, there comes a verse which is explained by Srila Prabhupada as follows:
“Devotees are therefore more merciful than the Lord, and in devotional service, the mercy of a devotee is more valuable than the mercy of the Lord.” [SB 1.15.8](purport)
These devotees really feel the need to distribute this treasure love of God to the world around them. They actually feel that way. And that’s why they are so exalted.
At another place, Srila Prabhupada writes, “Vrindavan is not just a place, but it’s also a state of consciousness.”
And whoever has this Vrindavan consciousness, can be considered a true vrajvasi.
Grateful and indebted to have such undeserving association of vrajvasi vaishnavas who shower their blessings without a second thought.
An english proverb goes like,
Count Your Blessings
and there’s also,
Make Your Blessings Count!
