Sri Krishna Chaitanya

Today marks an important day.
jadi gaura na hoito tabe ki hoito, kemone dharitam de
If Mahaprabhu didn’t appear, what would have happened.
Sri krsna caitanya radha krishna nahi anya
He is non different from radha and krsna, the divine couple who has come in this age of Kali in the form of Sri Krishna Chaitanya mahaprabhu for the upliftment of the most fallen souls.
To teach how to be a devotee, God comes down as a devotee.
He distributes love of God freely to anyone and everyone who is willing to accept it.

“O most munificent incarnation! You are Kṛṣṇa Himself appearing as Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Mahāprabhu. You have assumed the golden color of Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī, and You are widely distributing pure love of Kṛṣṇa. We offer our respectful obeisances unto You.”
Gauranga is the most glorious personality to come personally for us. Not only did he come himself, but he also brings his own abode and associates for us.

“Out of compassion for the fallen souls, Sri Krisna Caitanya came to this world with His personal associates and divine abode…”

“…to teach saranagati, surrender to the almighty Godhead, and to freely distribute ecstatic love of God, which is ordinarily very difficult to obtain. This saranagati is the very life of the true devotee”
Srila Narahari Sarkar, a personal associate of the Lord, writes this song:
(1)
mana re! kaha nā gaura kathā
gaurera nāma, amiyāra dhāma, pirīti mūrati dātā
O mind! Speak only about Gaura. Gaura’s name is the abode of nectar, and the worshipable bestower of unnatojjvala-prema.
(2)
śayane gaura, svapane gaura, gaura nayanera tārā
jīvane gaura, maraṇe gaura, gaura galāra hārā
In sleeping – Gaura, in dreaming – Gaura. Gaura is the star of my eyes. In life – Gaura, at the time of death – Gaura. Gaura’s name is the precious necklace I wear around my neck!
(3)
hiyāra mājhāre, gaurāńga rākhiyā, virale basiyā raba
manera sādhete, se rūpa-cādere, nayane nayane thoba
Keeping Gauranga inside my heart, I will sit alone and fix my mind on His enchanting moon-like form. I will gaze in His eyes and become absorbed in His beauty.
(4)
gaura vihane, na vañchi parāṇe, gaura ka’rechi sāra
gaura baliya, jauka jīvane, kichu nā cāhiba āra
Without Gaura I cannot live. Gaura is my everything. I pray to give up my life taking the name of Gaura – I ask for nothing else.
(5)
gaura gamana, gaura gaṭhana, gaura mukhera hāsi
gaura-pirīti, gaura mūrati, hīyāya rahala paśi
Gaura’s movements, Gaura’s nature, Gaura’s smiling face, Gaura’s love, Gaura’s full form – all enter my heart.
(6)
gaura dharama, gaura karama, gaura vedera sāra
gaura caraṇe, parāṇa sampinu, gaura karibena pāra
Gaura is my dharma, Gaura is the object of my karma, Gaura is the essence of the Vedas. I surrender my life at Gaura’s lotus feet. It is Gaura who will take me across (the ocean of material existence).
(7)
gaura śabada, gaura sampada, jāhāra hiyāya jāge
narahari dāsa, tāhāra caraṇe, satata śaraṇa māge
Gaura is the essential sound vibration and wealth for that person in whose heart He manifests. Narahari dasa always prays to take shelter at the feet of such a person.
I’m very grateful to be in touch with such associates of gaura. In millions and millions of lifetimes, it wouldn’t have been possible but due to their causeless mercy, they are giving me their very personal association and guidance.
By their mercy only, today I’ve completed canto 2 of Srimad Bhagavatam.
This is the same text that Narottama Das Thakur describes:
vicār koriyā mane, bhakti-rasa āsvādane,
madhyastha śrī-bhāgavata purāṇa
“Considering the merits of all Vedic literatures in the light of devotional service, I have concluded that the Srimad Bhagavatam is the best of all scriptures.”
