Why Me?

When we disregard the manual that comes with a product, and start pressing buttons randomly, thinking it’ll work as expected, we land into problems and eventually dissatisfaction.
When we are going through life and land into problems and eventually dissatisfaction, we can know that we are not following the manual, Srimad Bhagavad Gita.
By nature, we are always happy [ Ānandamayo ‘bhyāsāt ]. We feel sadness because we are in ignorance of the manual and then we complain why me?
When customer care asks us if we’ve read the manual, we say “No time”.
Similarly when we are asked about if we have read the Gita, people reply, “No time”.
gita su-gita kartavya, kim anyaih shastra-vistaraihya svayam padmanabhasya, mukha-padmad vinihsrita [Gita Mahatmya text 4]
“Because Bhagavad-gita is spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, one need not read any other Vedic literature. One need only attentively and regularly hear and read Bhagavad-gita. In the present age, people are so absorbed in mundane activities that it is not possible for them to read all the Vedic literatures. But this is not necessary. This one book, Bhagavad-gita, will suffice, because it is the essence of all Vedic literature and especially because it is spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead.”
In association of the saintly, the stingent annoyance driven “…why me?” transforms into a humble, grateful and thankful “why me?…”.

Srila Prabhupad writes, “My dear Lord Krishna, You are so kind upon this useless soul.”
Krishna and Sriji are always looking out the best for each of us personally, we may not realise it, but we can heartfully accept their shelter.
